Author
  • J. Budziszewski is a former atheist , former political radical , and former other things. He is now a Yale graduate and is a professor at the university of Texas in austin.
  • The style is very systematic. Goes from one point to the next. The tone he uses is as if he is excited for us to read what he has to say.
Book
  • The big idea is exactly what the cover of the book says "How to Stay Christian in College"
  • Essay format
Evaluation/Relevance
  • This book is good for discussion depending on who is in your group. Theres is tons to talk about and tons to write about but if there no one wanting to talk it sucks to talk about but still fun to write about in pcrs
  • It has definitely encouraged me to step out more in my faith and not care about what others think. And it has also helped me to talk more just in conversations.
  • The thing that stands out the most is that God is always with us and that college has a lot of bumps in the road and it will be hard with all the things being thrown at you.

Author: J. Budzuszewski is a proffessor of goverment at the University of Texas, Austin, and a former atheist. He specializes in ethics, philosophy, and the interactions between these feilds and religion and theology.
His style is to take ideas about and around Christianity and Christian faith and then to support or show how they are wrong. He also gets to the point and just keeps going one after another.

Book: The main idea of the book is written on the front cover "How to Stay Christian in College" The format of the book is written as an essay with biblical and experiential support.

Evaluation/Relevance: This book was good for the class disscussion because it raises alot of great points and disscussion topics. This books is also great for PCRs because it is very relatable.
This book is related to our class because it teaches the proper way to argue your beliefs while like our communication unit.
This book taught me that there will be many people and places that will try to steer me away from God in college/
